The Carbon Neutral Alliance is a program for sustainably-minded grantmakers, their grantees, and other environmental non-governmental organizations (NGOs) to help them reduce the greenhouse gas emissions associated with their daily activities. By taking responsible action for their own carbon footprints, Alliance participants are recognized as leading by example and as enriching the work they already do to better the environment.
Every time you flip on a light switch, take an airline flight, ride the subway, drive to work, or use your computer, greenhouse gases are emitted into the atmosphere. The emissions come directly from burning fossil fuels to make electricity, burning jet fuel to power an airplane engine, or burning gasoline to power a car.
The Carbon Neutral Alliance (CNA) offers a way for your organization to mitigate its impact on global warming. The alliance provides technical support to CNA members while building a coalition among environmental grantmakers, their grantees, and other environmental non-profits to collaborate on topics relating to climate change and carbon.
The Carbon Neutral Alliance is a program of the Center for Resource
